A drone is not just for fun

A drone is not just for fun

I love the images people share that are captured using their drones. The images are magnificent and display the landscape beautifully. Some of the images are things which would never have been seen if not for a drone flying over it. Some of the images are mysterious, and some are funny.

Drones are a great toy for the young and the old. They aerial photography can be astounding capturing the excitement of deploying the drone in various places. However, they are not just a toy, but they are a tool to use for surveillance.

I know this is an exaggeration, but let's pretend for a moment that a zombie apocalypse has occurred and you are trapped in your home. You need provisions and need to leave the safety of your location. What to do? Deploy a drone to surveil if and where any zombies are lurking! When you find them you know where to avoid, and when it is safe to acquire your provisions.

A more realistic scenario would be a situation has occurred and parts of the population in your city are protesting, raiding, and looting. You occasionally hear gunshots, and in a distance you see fire and smoke. You are locked up in your home protecting your family. You need to know the situation. What to do? Deploy a drone to surveil your surroundings so you know how far away the protesters are and if you are in danger.

Last scenario, you live on a ranch or farm and you raise livestock. You have found some of your animals dead, attacked by a predator. You need to stop this predator before it attacks more of your livestock. What to do? Deploy a drone before heading out for the hunt to trap this predator.

There are hundreds of scenarios to use drones for surveillance. Many drones have obstacle avoidance, high definition cameras, and many other features. guardmystuff.com has several types to choose from quadcopters to ones shaped like a spaceship.

Consider a drone today. They are not as expensive as you might think from as low as $13 to a professional model at $1360.68. They bring lots of fun for your family and a valuable tool to use in those times you really need one.
